NOW HIRING RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT SPECIALISTS

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is now hiring  Residential Treatment Specialists.  This position offers a great starting wage, exceptional benefits, and a flexible schedule you aren't likely to find anywhere else!


Becoming a Residential Treatment Specialist is an excellent opportunity to put your skills to work helping kids with complex behavioral health issues, while working within a warm and welcoming environment that provides a safe place for those kids to grow and learn.

EXCELLENT STARTING WAGE and option to get paid daily!

STARTING WAGE:

  • $20 per hour to start


OPTIONAL ON-DEMAND DAILY PAY:

  • At Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, we offer a flexible way for you to get paid!  You can do it the traditional way, with a couple of paychecks a month, OR, you have the option to get paid daily!

RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT SPECIALISTS - DUTIES

In providing for the day-to-day care of Ranch residents, Residential Treatment Specialists: 


  • Build positive relationships with children and their families
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment that provides a safe place for kids to grow and learn.
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team (therapist, residential supervisors, nurses, spiritual life and wellness staff, etc.)
  • Participate in clinically-based activities as assigned by the Residential Supervisor (one-on-one activities with kids, group facilitation and participation, mentoring, etc.)
  • Supervise youth while they are on campus and in the community
  • Motivate, de-escalate, and coach youth through difficult behaviors
  • Engage with youth through active participation in daily activities
  • Teach daily living and coping skills based on each child's individualized treatment plan
  • Model a culture of purpose, caring, and learning
  • Must be comfortable working in and creating a trauma-informed environment

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch offers flexibility you aren't likely to find anywhere else!


Primarily  Hiring for:

  • 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm evening shift.


Other Shifts also Available:

  • Morning shifts (7a to 3p) 
  • Overnight (10 pm to 8 am) shift to file. 


We offer a variety of full-time shift options:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Compressed work weeks of 1 0 and 12-hour shifts
  • Split shifts
  • Must work every other weekend


If part-time is better for you, we can discuss a flexible schedule including 4-6 hour shifts; 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts; and split shifts. 


Must work a minimum of 30 hours/week to receive medical and dental insurance. 


qualifications/requirements

  • Must be 21 or older at the time of application. 
  • Have a current driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Must pass a background check, including criminal, abuse, and motor vehicle
  • Pass an employment screening physical
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (preference given to candidates with college coursework)
