Information Systems Analyst - Williston

  PURPOSE OF POSITION

  • Develop and support applications to meet business objectives and needs. 
  • Assist with planning and analyzing projects. 
  • stablish schedules and project parameters.
  •  Collaborate to assess needs and ensure timely, accurate project solutions. 
  • Provide support for a variety of information systems tasks. 


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education - A degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred. 
  • Work experience in lieu of education may be considered. 
  •  If education requirements are met, job experience beneficial, but not necessary. 


 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 

  •  Two years computer programming experience.  Experience with databases and SQL programming language required.
  • PREFERRED:  NET/C#, SQL Server Database, Oracle Database, NISC iVUE, ACS PRISM, Aclara TWACS

Substation Electrical Technician - Williston

JOB OBJECTIVE

The Substation Electrical Technician performs a variety of construction, maintenance, and service work on equipment throughout MWEC’s service territory. This is a full-time, nonexempt, hourly paid position. 


QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent. A Bachelor or Associate degree in electronics technology or comparable field is preferred, but not mandatory. Applicants should have some experience, training, or knowledge in the electrical trade or electrical utility fields. 


 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (partial list)

  • Proficient in the use of laptop computers using Microsoft operating systems and office software. Must have the ability to install and use technical software. 
  •  Ability to safely operate equipment such as forklifts, bobcats, and payloaders 
  •  Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools 
  •  Reads and interprets documents 
  •  Communicates effectively with members, co-workers, and contractors.

Metering/Electrical Technician - New Town

 POSITION FUNCTION

This position is responsible for the daily installation, maintenance, testing, and accurate operation of MWEC’s electric metering systems. Additionally, this position serves as an energy services advisor to MWEC (Cooperative) and its members in the areas of energy usage, power safety, quality, and reliability, and distributed generation technologies. 


 QUALIFICATIONS

  •  High school diploma, or equivalent required.
  •  Two-year degree in electrical technology, or related field, or equivalent work-related experience preferred. 
  •  ND licensure as a Journeyman Electrician is required. Reciprocal licensure with other states that are part of the Multi-State Reciprocal Licensing Group is acceptable. 


 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (partial list)

  • Working knowledge of all types of electrical meters, electrical recording instruments, and associated electrical equipment. 
  •  Proficient in the use of iPads and computers using Microsoft operating systems and office software 
  •  Ability to read schematics 
  •  Ability to operate Cooperative vehicles and equipment 
  •  Ability to operate hand and power tools 
  •  Written and oral communication skills required
