 NCC (Northwest Communications Cooperative) has an exciting opportunity available now!  Now hiring a Communications Specialist/Broadband Installer/Repair Technician in Ray, ND. Starting pay range:   $33.45 - $45.94 per hour

POSITION OVERVIEW:   

Install, maintain and operate all types of network communications equipment. Including routers, Ethernet switches, wireless access points, IP phones, ONTs and other equipment related to broadband, data and voice services.  Install and maintain voice systems, surveillance, security systems, network extending equipment and other CPE. Perform required work for a wide range of exchange operation, including the construction, maintenance and servicing of telephone lines, instruments, cable terminals, protection devices, central office equipment, and other related equipment. Installing and servicing home and business security and alarm systems as demand for this increases. In addition to these duties he/she will assist other work groups as required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Interest in and desire to understand the dynamic and ever changing world of technology 
• Knowledge of testing, switching and electronic equipment
• Understanding of digital technology
• Understanding of Navigation of Ethernet switches
• Skill in operating service equipment
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions using information at hand. 
• Ability to effectively function as a team player

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma and the knowledge and skills usually acquired through training in electronics and one to two years of job-related experience in security and alarm systems
• Previous experience and technology or electronics education preferred, however NCC will offer on the job training and trade training as needed.
