Now Hiring: LIFEGUARD
POSITION SUMMARY
Lifeguards are responsible for monitoring the pool and surrounding areas to ensure swimmer safety. They enforce pool rules, respond to emergencies, and perform rescues and CPR when necessary. Additionally, they help maintain a clean and safe aquatic environment by conducting regular safety checks and reporting any hazards or maintenance needs.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass the American Red Cross pre-requisite steps – 150 yard continuous swim
- 2 minute tread without hands
- 50 yard continuous swim
- Timed brick retrieval from the deepest end of the pool
- Quick decision-making and crisis management abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain alert for long periods
QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
- Must be at least 15
- Lifeguard Certification Preferred
- Will train the right candidates
Now Hiring: SWIM INSTRUCTOR
POSITION SUMMARY
Swim instructors teach swimming techniques, water safety, and stroke development to participants of all ages and skill levels. They create and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs of individuals and groups, provide feedback and encouragement, and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in swimming and knowledge of stroke techniques
- Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
- Strong verbal communication and teaching skills
- Patience and ability to work with individuals of all ages and skill levels
QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
- Must be at least 15
- Lifeguard, WSI, or YMCA Swim Instructor Certification preferred-will train the right candidates
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification-will train the right candidates
Now Hiring: CHILD WATCH ATTENDANT
POSITION SUMMARY
Child Watch Attendants are responsible for supervising and engaging children ages 0-8 in age-appropriate activities while ensuring a safe and positive environment. They maintain a clean and organized play area by following sanitation and safety guidelines. They also monitor children's behavior, respond appropriately to any issues or emergencies, and follow all facility policies and procedures, including child safety and security protocols.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in emergency situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children and parents
- Patience and the ability to manage multiple children in a group setting
QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
- Must be at least 18
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification required - will train the right candidates
Now Hiring: KINDER or DAY CAMP COUNSELORS
POSITION SUMMARY
Day camp counselors supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities, including games, crafts, and outdoor play. They promote a fun and inclusive environment while ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers. Counselors also assist with behavior management, and resolve conflicts.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Strong leadership and group management skills
- Patience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
- Creativity in planning engaging activities for children
QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification - will train right candidates
Now Hiring: TRIANGLE Y CAMP COUNSELORS
POSITION SUMMARY
Triangle Y Camp counselors lead and mentor campers in outdoor activities such as climbing the tower, pond/lake activities, arts and crafts, and large group games. They are responsible for ensuring camper safety at all times while fostering a positive and supportive camp environment. In addition, they assist with campfire programs, meals, and overnight cabin supervision.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive environment
- Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Adaptability, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities
QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- CPR and First Aid certification required. will train right candidates
- Lifeguard certification (may be required for waterfront staff)
- Will train right candidates
Now Hiring: PERSONAL TRAINERS
POSITION SUMMARY
Personal trainers develop and implement customized fitness plans based on clients’ goals and abilities. They provide guidance on proper exercise techniques, form, and injury prevention while tracking progress and making necessary program adjustments.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- In-depth knowledge of exercise science, fitness techniques, and injury prevention
- Strong motivational, communication and coaching skills
- Ability to design and adapt personalized workout programs
QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
- At least 18 years of age
- Nationally recognized personal training certification required
- CPR/AED certification required - will train right candidates
Now Hiring: CROSSFIT COACHES
POSITION SUMMARY
CrossFit coaches lead group CrossFit classes ensuring that participants perform exercises with proper technique and safety. They modify workouts to accommodate all fitness levels while providing motivation, encouragement, and constructive feedback.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Expertise in CrossFit methodologies and functional fitness training
- Strong coaching and instructional skills for individuals and groups with ability to modify workouts for various fitness levels and needs
QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
- Must be at least 18
- CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (C-L1) Certification required - will train right candidates
- CPR/AED Certification required - will train right candidates
